The Art Seen was founded and created to provide opportunities for minority artists. We believe in curating creative Art Experiences in traditional and non-traditional spaces. As the official art curator at the Urban Hang Suite and The Basement, in Richmond, VA we offer the local community and all customers the opportunity to see unique art from our featured artists that can be purchased. The Art Seen is an umbrella that captures all that we do within the art world. We offer a variety of events like Art Walks, The Gallery House, Exhibits and and our Residency Program. MEET RON STOKES
FOUNDER OF THE ART SEEN & ARTIST OF VIEWS BY STOKES
Ron, was born in Washington D.C., but was raised in the Bay Area. For the last 10 years, he's settled in Richmond, VA with his family. As a self-taught artist, he's known for blending street art with strong abstract visual elements. Ron believes that his art serves a purpose of telling a story with every brush stroke, spray paint mark, color and pattern.

The vision of The Art Seen came from Ron's personal experience of trying to find opportunities that will allow his art to be seen by the masses. The birth of The Art Seen, is the bridge that is connecting new and established minority artists with various audiences, while elevating them in their creative and artistic journeys.
